Hi, my name is Hunter Sloan and I am a Los Angeles based portrait photographer.
As a kid I was more interested in art classes and creative projects than my GPA desired. It began with competitive paper plate drawings with my sister and went on from there to become burned emulsions and an alternative form of portraiture. Growing up in the south, I've found that Louisiana culture plays a huge role in my work. People like E.J. Bellocq and Clementine Hunter were swampland natives who's art has influenced how I see the world.
After interning with world renown photographer Mark Seliger I graduated with my BA in photography and turned my passion into my career. Now you'll either find me on set or burning images on my back porch. To keep up with my life you can follow me here on Instagram.
